The significance is clear: outside Santiago’s metropolitan public bus network – which is not part of the activity – the uptake of electric vehicles (EVs) remains extremely low, with market penetration below 1% and sales shares under 2%. By promoting the adoption of EVs across multiple categories, including buses and trucks, the activity helps shift the market towards cleaner alternatives and supports the scale-up of electric mobility in Chile. The KliK Foundation will support the financial viability of the activity by purchasing the resulting ITMOs.

Another strong example of how Article 6 can help accelerate market transformation where it is needed.
